Acceptance

By using LooksLab you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, the right answer is to close the tab rather than continue using the service.

What LooksLab is

LooksLab is a web application that analyses a photograph of a face and returns a structured set of geometric measurements and composite scores. The output is informational. It is not medical advice, not psychological assessment, and not a verdict on the value or attractiveness of any person.

Accounts and sign-in

You can use LooksLab without an account through an anonymous session, or you can sign in with Google. If you sign in, you are responsible for keeping access to your Google account secure. We do not store passwords for you, so a compromised Google account is the most likely route to a compromised LooksLab account. Enable two factor authentication on Google if you have not already.

Acceptable use

Only upload photographs of yourself, or photographs of people who have given you informed consent to be analyzed by LooksLab. Uploading photos of others without their permission, especially minors, is not acceptable and may be illegal in your jurisdiction.

Do not attempt to scrape the service, exhaust our rate limits, reverse engineer the scoring engine for commercial reuse, or interfere with other users. Do not use LooksLab to harass, rank, or rate other people without their participation.

Payments

The scan flow is the same for paid and unpaid users. Unpaid users receive a preview of their top five strengths and top five weaknesses. Paid subscribers receive the overall score, the four pillar scores (Harmony, Angularity, Dimorphism, Health Indicators), and the full per-metric breakdown with every underlying measurement and per-curve score along with the saved scan history. The subscription has three billing intervals: monthly, quarterly, or yearly. You can cancel at any time from the Stripe customer portal, and cancellation stops future renewals while preserving access through the end of the current period.

Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. The price displayed at checkout is the price you will pay, in the currency shown, plus any tax your jurisdiction requires.

Refunds

Refund requests are reviewed case by case within 14 days of the most recent charge. If something went obviously wrong, for example the report failing to render after a successful charge, write to legal@lookslab.app and we will fix the underlying problem and refund the affected payment. Refund requests based on disagreement with your score are not granted. To stop future charges, cancel your subscription in the customer portal at any time.

Disclaimers

LooksLab is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We make no promise that the service will be uninterrupted, free of defects, or accurate for any particular purpose. The scores are the output of a geometric pipeline and should be treated as a curiosity, not as medical, psychological, or legal advice. If you are considering a cosmetic procedure, consult a qualified surgeon rather than a scan score.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, LooksLab and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred US dollars, whichever is greater.

Termination

You can stop using LooksLab at any time. You can request account deletion under the privacy policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, particularly the acceptable use section. Where termination is for our convenience rather than for a violation on your side, we will refund any unused portion of a paid feature you can no longer access.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the courts with jurisdiction over our place of business.

Changes to these terms

If we update these terms in a way that materially changes your rights or obligations, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify signed-in users by email. Continued use of LooksLab after a change indicates acceptance of the new terms.
